Initial Digipak Cover Ideas: Costume

In our research, we found that Katy Perry's costumes for her album covers and in adverts were revealing which acted on male gaze, such as for her teenage dream album, she only has a cloud of candyfloss covering her. This sort of image is unsuitable for our actor so we had to think of other costumes that would still fit the genre and conventions with out being as revealing as this. Revealing outfits are a common of the pop rock genre so we will have to incorporate this convention into our mag ad and digipak images in a way that will make our actor comfortable but still fit the conventions such as with an image that would still act on male gaze but not be as revealing as some of the images below.
