13th October - Filming Review

On this day we completed the filming in Windsor this included:

1) Extra Stag Meadow shots:
What we wanted to capture: We realised after the last shoot that we hadn't quite gotten enough of the coming into the field/ park. Plus we really wanted to capture an almost comical kick flick by Jodie after she had walked away and we hadn't quite managed to get this shot, this was an idea we had after looking at Katy Perry videos, we realised we wanted some comedy and randomness to finish the video off with.
Problems with shoot: We had trouble when it came to the road leading up to Stag Meadow because it is a residential area. We also had issue with dog walkers again.
How we solved the problems: To solve the problem of filming in a residential area we simply had to make sure that we looked out for other people before recording. When it comes to dog walkers we decided to go out filming at a later time than we did the day before, this meant there was less early morning dog walkers around.
What we actually captured: We captured lots of shots of the the gate, from both sides of the gate. Then we managed to capture the walking away scene in one clear take and it looks really good.

2) Firs Avenue scenes:
What we wanted to capture: We decided on reflection from filming the day before that we really wanted more shots of Jodie being crazily angry with the suitcase. Plus we needed to film Jodie walking away at the end of it all.
Problems with shoot: We were again filming in a residential area which was problematic in the sense of disturbances it created with cars and residence. Another issue was a health and safety issue which was only brought to our attention when we had an accident. The accident occurred when Jodie was supposed to be jumping on the suitcase and she flipped over it, luckily she wasn't actually hurt.
How we solved the problems: We watched out for residents and cars. When it came to health and safety issues we filmed a little more carefully after that but there is very little we could do about accidents that could potentially occur in the future.
What we actually captured: We got lots of scenes of both Jodie going crazy with the suitcase and her walking away. We also had a few good ideas when it came to actually filming, that we then put into process. One such example is Jodie chucking clothes from inside the suitcase, this worked well when we filmed them travelling over the camera. We also found a really cool wall near Jades house on Firs Avenue and thought we would film Jodie singing sections of the lip syncing performance parts we needed, this would give us more options when it came to editing.
