Developement of First Digipak/ Magazine Advert

We decided to move on from some of the original images that we had innitially played around with it and added colour to the background, we also added text.

The first thing we did though is to play around with the image slightly more, we managed to use the blur tool to smooth the skin (something shown most prominantly when looking at the right hand side of Jodie's face). The second thing we did is use the brightening tool to give this strange eye appearance. Artistically we loved this "fierce" image but we also found that it didn't fit in with the conventions. We therefore decided against this image although we were saddened in deciding against it.

We therefore stuck with the original image and started adding text.

This is what the image looked like when presented on the template for the magazine advert. We then experimented with this country-and-western-ish text that we put in pink leaving the background as white. We felt this dosen't work very well in the sense that the image is actually a little scary and doesn't fit even juxtaposingly with that of the writing. We do though like the way that the writing goes over the image, this is reminiscent of nearly all of Kelly Clarkson's magazine adverts that we looked at.

We have decided that after this developement with this image we don't like it because it is too scary and is more rock in that sense that pop, instead we have decided to leave this image and try another.
